Moreover, serving as Board President in my local Northern Virginia community for over a decade, I have expertise in the homeowner association management (HOA) process: the HOA bylaws and state laws, and the HOA’s various financial documents. Growing up in Wilmington, North Carolina, I was captivated by simple, southern traditions and the serene beauty and sounds of my local Wrightsville Beach community. However, it was my upbringing alongside my mother's frequent trips to the bank with my two siblings that ignited my passion for financial literacy. I witnessed firsthand the consequences of not implementing sound financial strategies because of both flawed and nonexistent financial education. It then became my life’s work to ensure that others were enlightened regarding the myriad of financial opportunities available to them and the steps needed to invest in those same opportunities. I later learned and put into practice, via years of study and practice, successful savings, investment, real estate, and financial planning and budgeting techniques throughout my financial career.
